Ironman Foundation Donation Page…
As most of you probably know, I am competing in Ironman Lake Placid on July 28th which consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a marathon. It has been a long, hard journey over the past 5 years to get to this point, but I realized that my journey pales in comparison to the fight that others must endure. One such person is my cousin, Sarah, who is battling a blood disorder called, Aplastic Anemia, where your body stops producting new blood cells. She is an active teenager and a member of her schools’ cross-country team and would like to get back to competing again. I am dedicating this final push to complete Ironman Lake Placid to Sarah’s fight by helping to raise money and awareness through the Ironman Foundation and The Valerie Fund which provides resources to Sarah and other children like her to help fight these diseases.
