During the past couple weeks contractors have been replacing the sidewalks on the east side of Main Street in Alburtis. Today I noticed how nice it is really starting to look. The have a nice brick paver border with new trees planted every so many feet. I think it will look really nice.
The question in my mind is, are they going to do the same thing to the west side of the street? The west side is a bit run down with what I would assume is low cost housing. If they upgrade the sidewalk on that side without upgrading the houses on that side it will be like putting “lipstick on a pig.” It will be curious to see how that progresses.
